Marketing Tips & Tricks
When it comes to growing online, marketing is one of the most important aspects of your business so you can actually grow. So, each week I’ll be bringing you tips and tricks from the world of marketing that’ll help you drive traffic to your website, increase your brand awareness and grow your business.
Grow With Google

Facebook Supports Small Business
Next, let’s look at Facebook. Last week the social media platform unveiled a new set of features for small businesses affected by COVID-19. You may have already seen the ‘support small business’ sticker being used on Instagram stories. The idea here is that small business instagram accounts will get more exposure. On Facebook, the social platform has been promoting the hast tag #SupportSmallBusiness to help improve the discovery of small businesses this way too.
Facebook is also releasing a new ‘in support of’ tag so creators can support small businesses when no monetary exchange has been made. This is an extension of the ‘a paid partnership with’ tag where creators could show their collaboration with certain brands but the idea here is to encourage more creators to showcase their genuine love for the small businesses and brands they use.
So, if you’re not using Facebook and Instagram to your advantage, it’s time to rethink your strategy.
LinkedIn Focuses On Engagement
Next looking at a different social network, LinkedIn. Over the past few years, LinkedIn has been gaining traction and becoming more and more popular for businesses to build a presence. Well, now the platform is focussing more on engagement and has added a poll feature. As features go, this one is far from revolutionary but it does show that they are doing what they can to enhance the platform’s viability as a legitimate avenue for businesses to take when marketing their business.
Psychological Pricing Tips
And finally, I just wanted to give you a tip that will help you when it comes to pricing your products. Here are some psychological pricing tricks that are proven to lead to more sales.
One that you’ll likely already be aware of is to reduce the left digit by one. $2.99 sounds a lot less than $3.00 for example., but there are quite a few that you may not have consider.
For example, numbers with few syllables convert better than those with more, even if the price is higher. Removing the comma and the dollar sign are also proven to work wonders. If you can split the price into installments, definitely give this a try – even if you are not offering a payment plan, breaking down the cost into the daily equivalent and comparing it to say a cup of coffee a day, can really work.
Perhaps one of my favourite psychological pricing tricks is value visualization. This can be done in a number of ways but the principle is to show people the value of the product they’re purchasing visually and guiding them to the product you want them to purchase. Strategies like including an expensive product in your offering so most people will buy the mid-range priced product, and adding decoy pricing, for example if the small item is $4, the medium is $8 but the large is $8.50, people are going to buy the large because the perceived value is so much more. Why would you buy the medium when you can get the large for just 50c extra?

How to Add A Product To My IES Store
One of our most frequently asked questions this week was how to add products to your IES store. We have a step by step tutorial document and video to help you out!
Can I Add More Users?
Another question has been can I have more than one person help monitor my store. The answer is absolutely! You can have up to 3 users within one IES store!
How Do I Change My Subdomain?
And last but not least How do I change my subdomain? Unfortunately, you cannot change the subdomain once it’s attached to a license. However, what you can do is purchase an additional license or attach your own custom domain instead.
One of the time tested and proven strategies to make more money is to offer an upsell with the same product that a customer just purchased, but just with a discount.
Since we have experienced the power of this exact strategy, we built a simple system that allows DashNex PowerTech owners to set that up on their stores. The system is called – DoubleIT, and you can find it in the Marketing Hub.
What the Double IT does is, it basically allows you to configure an upsell that customers will see after the initial purchase, and that will offer them to DOUBLE the entire order with a discount.
The cool part is that if you use Stripe as your payment processor, DoubleIT becomes a 1-click upsell. Meaning, your customers won’t need to re-enter the credit card details again – they can just click the button and complete the purchase.
There is no better strategy to make more money with your eCom store than to sell more to customers that have just purchased something from your store.
Just enable the DoubleIt on your store right now and start to generate more revenue with less.
Development Team Updates
BUGS on IES
This week we’ve been working on fixing a couple of bugs in the IES. Last week I mentioned that we’d found a fix for the issue surrounding the validation of non-US addresses but we identified some more issues this week. Thankfully though, after some extensive research, our development team has found the best solution and solved the issue.
Validation of non US addresses
We have improved already fixed bug from the previous week, as there were still some bugs present in terms of validating non US addresses. So we’ve researched for the best solution and due to other included security checks we’ve found the best solution and solved it.
Setting up main product
We have noticed that there was a bug when a user deleted the product assigned as collection’s main product. We’ve solved it in a way that when a user deletes and consequently removes the collection main product, the next product will be set as main.
Saving website settings
There were some cases, when users were not able to save changes made on website settings which we’ve successfully changed in a way, that any changes made on website settings are saved successfully.
Lead page templates on mobile device
More users and customers are using mobile devices and because of that we are aware of the fact how important it is, that all created pages are responsive not only on our desktop but also on mobile devices. We’ve solved a bug which caused, that when the user created a lead page wizard, they were not responsive on mobile devices.
Background on pages
We have solved a bug reported from our users, that they can’t upload background images to use them for the background on their page.
Opening editor links
We are aware of the fact how important it is to our users that all existing options are functioning as they need. Because of that we’ve immediately solved a bug when it was reported from our users that they can’t select how the editor links should be opened. By saying that we’ve enabled an option that the user can now open in a new window or use default protocol when inserting links to text.
